Office Politics

I work as a team leader for an online business coaching department. I have been at this position for about 7 months now and prior to that I was a coach. I would consider myself a fairly valuable asset to the dept. I deal with a lot of issues both client and employee.
My work is what I would consider exemplary.

So enough with the exposition...

Today I come to find that our company is introducing a new campaign related to repairing credit and that we are going to start training this coming week. Being the forward thinking person that I am and knowing the possibility for job advancement, I volunteer to go into the training.

Unfortunately my request was denied.

Why?

Probably for a number of reasons, but with as long as I have been with the department I was a bit disapointed.

This also adds to a fear of mine.

A fear that has been clawing at the back of my skull for the passed 3 months.

I am stuck on a plateau.

It is over for me, there is no advancement.

I am pinned against a shatter proof glass ceiling.

This is quite a depressing revelation, especially for me.
I need to have challenges. I need to be able to progress.
It is part of my character. If I stay stagnant for too long then I will lose interest and become disenfranchised.

I love what I do.

I enjoy the people I work with, but just like in Fallout 3 once you reach level 20, what's the point.

A Number of Things

It has been awhile since I have updated this.

A lot has changed.
A lot hasn't.

I am excited to announce that Cvrst is working on new material. We are incredibly proud of what we have been able to compose these passed few weeks and are in the early stages of mapping out and eventually recording these songs.

Just to whet your appetite...

Upon listening you will notice a definative change in direction. I guess I would say we have all in a way matured as musicians and this is just part of Cvrst's progression.

Anyways...

I have a new piece of gear that I have added to my rig.

Iowa

Born in Pennsylvania and raised in Iowa...
Now residing in California.

Iowa is quite the place, heavily populated by the conservative average joe, it is a great place to raise a family...

Unfortunately not an ideal area to inhabit in your younger more adventurous years...unless your idea of fun is stealing anhydrous tanks and getting intoxicated in your friends dungeon of a basement.

With that said however, some of my best memories originate from this great state...

Renewal

I recall the initial sensation...

It was like sitting in a the front roller car at the peak of the coaster.

Plunging...

Complete and utter sensory overload.

Vision blurred and auditory senses dulled,

The world only comes into focus only when we have stalled, and at this point we were on the brink of derailment.

Movements

Change...

A concept that is open to interpretation. It can be a godsend....It can be damning.

When I originally considered relocating to Los Angeles I was in a state of limbo. My first year at college had not been what I had hoped for...

I needed renewal.
